Passages Malibu was founded in 2001 by father and son, Chris and Pax Prentiss. For ten difficult years, Pax was hooked on heroin, cocaine, and alcohol. He tried different treatment centers, but always relapsed. At that time, all the treatment centers used the 12-Step program which did not resonate well with Pax. One day Pax and Chris were talking about Pax’s addiction and how to end it once and for all. This is how they came up with the idea for the treatment program which would heal the underlying causes of addiction. Pax was the first person to experience this amazing holistic program and it worked. That was almost twenty years ago, and Pax has been sober ever since.
Passages is the first Non-12 Step holistic treatment center and has treated thousands of people since opening in 2001. Pax and Chris work at Passages nearly every day and they are still as dedicated today as the day it opened.
Helping people is his specialty. For many years, Chris lead self-improvement workshops to help those who felt they were less than they wanted to be. He is the author of over a dozen books that have helped improve the quality of life for people all over the world. When his son, Pax came to him and admitted to being hooked on drugs and alcohol, he sought out on a mission to save Pax’s life.
After nearly ten years of struggling with an addiction to drugs and alcohol, Pax Prentiss’ life was saved by the holistic treatment program that he and his father created, which is the same program that is available at Passages Malibu. Pax has been sober for about twenty years. His mission is to help those who have been dependent on drugs and alcohol and want to get clean and sober.
