While Passages offers more individual sessions than most treatment centers, we believe groups can be a good support to the individual work that is done, as it allows for the opportunity to learn from the experiences of other clients while still getting feedback from our licensed clinicians. At Passages, there are two weekly process groups that are lead by our doctoral-level psychologists that allow for clients to process what is occurring in their individual sessions and gain feedback from the clinician and other clients. This allows for another opportunity to gain depth and understanding in each client’s therapeutic work.
Many clients describe not only the act of receiving feedback as beneficial but also the opportunity to consider others’ work and give them support as an opportunity for growth as well. The insight gained in this group can then be used to further the work done in individual sessions and provide more opportunities for insight building for each client as they continue on their path of growth and recovery.
